VACANCY - EXPERIENCED LEAD PRACTICE NURSE 

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced, enthusiastic and highly motivated nurse to join our well-established, friendly and high-achieving GMS practice in Swanley. We have a friendly mix of partners, salaried doctors, advanced nurse practitioners, 3 physician associates, 2 first contact physios, 1 clinical pharmacist, 2 practice nurses, 2 phlebotomists and HCA’s looking after 13,500 patients.

Swanley has easy access to the M25, M20 and A20 via Junction 3 of the M25. The A2 is also close by.

We offer a minor surgery service that includes Carpal Tunnel Decompressions as well as LARC services including IUD/IUS insertions.

Role responsibilities

  • Lead the Nursing Team
  • Cytology
  • Contraception counselling
  • Immunisations – baby and travel
  • Assist in the management & review of patients with chronic diseases
  • An asthma and/or diabetes diploma would be an advantage

Full Time or Part Time Salaried GP Position

Competitive Salary £10.5K - £11.5K per session and Golden Hello (£8k at the end of the 1st & 2nd years) + Pension + MDU

GP-led, patient centred surgery with emphasis on innovation and nurturing talent

Training Practice

13,500 patient GMS practice using the EMIS clinical system

2 first contact Advanced Nurse Practitioners, 3 Physician Associates, 2 First Contact Physios, Clinical Pharmacist, 3 Practice Nurses, 1 Health Care Assistant & 2 Phlebotomists

Specialist Minor Surgery Service Contract with the ICB, including Carpal Tunnel Decompression

Friendly receptionists skilled in triage/care navigation

Nurse-led Chronic Disease Management, insulin initiation, helping reduce on duty demand, warfarin clinics and Minor Illness with first contact Advanced Nurse Practitioners

Weekly clinical meetings

We encourage and support the development of special interests including training and leadership roles

Small Practice area with low visit rate and a large percentage of visits covered by a Home Visiting Service provided by the ICB.
